What is PCI Compliance? The Payment Card Industry (PCI) Security Standards Council has created a set of mandates for any merchant that accepts credit/debit cards. All businesses which hold, process, or pass cardholder information from any card brand bound by these requirements. Albeit NRF’s position is that PCI compliance was created to cover up flaws in the card brand’s payment system, we want to inform and educate the extended retail industry on becoming compliant.

NRF and ARTS are developing a library of standard RFPs (or ITTs as they are sometimes known) to help retailers select the “right” software applications for their specific business practices.
