NRF works with supply chain professionals to develop resources and policies that improve the retail industry.

Committees

NRF’s International Trade Advisory Committee plays a key role in representing the retail industry’s interests in eliminating U.S. and foreign trade barriers. ITAC and its subcommittees discuss international trade, customs, and corporate social responsibility issues.

The Strategic Supply Chain Council provides guidance and technical expertise on issues affecting management and security of retail supply chains, with a focus on public policy, supply chain management and best practices. The Product Safety Committee communicates existing and potential problems, addresses emerging issues, and comments on proposed regulations. The Postal Working Group provides guidance on first-class mail and postal issues affecting retailers.

The NCCR Food Supply Chain Committee is focused on issues impacting supply chains of chain restaurant companies.

NRF’s Sustainable Retailing Consortium brings retailers, manufacturers, and solution providers together to monitor the evolution of green retailing trends. Working councils focus on sustainable building, recycling, renewable energy, logistics and other topics.
