AI Working Group

This retail members-only working group facilitates policy and stakeholder engagement on AI issues and the development of practices and guidelines for the use of AI within retail.

CIO Council

This council is open exclusively to the most senior technology executive within NRF retail member companies. The council seeks to improve the knowledge, standing and influence of the CIO within retail organizations.

Digital Council

This council is open to senior digital executives at retail member companies. This collaborative networking group focuses on ecommerce, mobile, innovation and all things digital.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Council  

This council provides retail members with a thoughtful and engaging platform to further the discussion and support on diversity and inclusion in the retail community.

Financial Executives Council (FEC)

This council is comprised of senior financial executives who develop industry financial benchmarks and serve as advisors for industry advocacy efforts with the FASB, SEC and other governmental agencies.

Fraud Prevention Professionals Working Group

The NRF Fraud Prevention Professionals Working Group brings together retail leaders with responsibility for fraud prevention to discuss their companies’ digital and in-store fraud prevention strategies and operations.

General Counsels Forum

This forum is exclusive to the most senior legal officers among NRF’s retail membership. This group shares strategies and ideas for addressing legal and management issues of concern to retail law departments.

IT Security Council

This council, also known as the ITSC, is designed for retail sector cybersecurity leaders and technical experts who exchange information on current cyber threats and industry best practices.

LP Council

This council is open to senior loss prevention executives from member companies. The council discusses common loss prevention and asset management challenges facing the retail industry.

Payment Systems Task Force

This task force discusses matters on card acceptance and other issues retailers face with the credit and debit card associations and card acceptance networks.

Privacy Committee

The NRF Privacy Committee is composed of senior retail executives and counsels in the government relations, legal and regulatory compliance departments within NRF retail member companies who are responsible for company operations that affect the privacy and security of consumer information.

Strategic Supply Chain Council

This council includes senior retail executives responsible for the global supply chain, transportation and logistics within their retail organizations.

Sustainability Council

The council is a collaborative networking group open to senior executives and their designees focused on corporate social responsibility (CSR), environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG), and related sustainability issues.

Talent Acquisition Group

This group, also known as TAG, is open to the most senior talent acquisition executive of any retail company. Members discuss best practices and the most pressing talent and hiring challenges.
