Zuckerberg media, JD.com and Glossier to speak at NRF’s Shop.org 2018 conference

WASHINGTON – CEOs, startup founders and top business personalities will discuss the shifting retail landscape and how to improve the customer experience as more than 2,500 leading members of the retail community gather in Las Vegas September 12-14 for the National Retail Federation’s annual Shop.org conference.

“Shop.org showcases how retailers are reimagining the shopping experience, selling through multiple channels and in multiple ways,” NRF President and CEO Matthew Shay said. “We are at the epicenter of a vibrant industry with tremendous opportunity for growth – and this year’s attendees will walk away not only inspired and informed, but with new skills and perspectives that will help them thrive today and in the future.”

NRF has also renewed and expanded Shop.org’s partnership with Fast Company for 2018. Fast Company editors will bring the company’s signature focus on innovation in technology, leadership, and design to an entire day of content on the main stage. Topics will include AI, cross-industry collaborations, design thinking, and how marketers, product designers and consumers are co-creating the brands of the future.

Keynotes will include:

Randi Zuckerberg, founder and CEO of Zuckerberg Media and former director of market development at Facebook. The entrepreneur, investor, bestselling author and tech media personality is the creator and executive producer of DOT, an animated television show on NBC, and the founder of Sue’s Tech Kitchen, a tech-themed dining concept for families that features 3D-printed food.

Harlan Bratcher, global business development head for fashion at JD.com, China’s largest retailer, where he is responsible for introducing Western brands to China and JD’s platform. A retail veteran and entrepreneur, he was previously CEO of Reed Krakoff and was president and CEO of A/X Armani Exchange. He has also held executive and management positions at Calvin Klein, Sony Corporation and QVC.

Ali Weiss, senior vice president of marketing at direct-to-consumer skin care and cosmetics company Glossier. Before Glossier, the Stanford graduate and Harvard MBA worked in financial institutions account management and corporate strategy at BlackRock.
