Advisory: Sept 08 sales reporting

NRF is advising members that Yom Kippur falls on October 9. This is also the scheduled release date for September retail sales based on NRF’s 4-5-4 calendar.

Because the markets will be open on October 9, NRF has decided not to alter its reporting calendar. NRF encourages retail companies to use the calendar as a guide—as in the past—to make the best decision for their businesses.

It is NRF’s current understanding that some retailers will choose to advance their reporting while others have made the decision to report on that date.
