Port Tracker

The Global Port Tracker was originally developed jointly as the Port Tracker by NRF’s Strategic Supply Chain Council and Global Insight's International Trade and Transportation Practice.  As of January 2010, it is being produced jointly with Hackett Associates but is still based on the original Global Insight model concept.  It blends the economic and trade expertise of  Hackett Associates with NRF's deep well of knowledge about the distinctive needs and challenges facing retailers. The Global Port Tracker evaluates and monitors the key data that will help retailers understand what is happening at the ports, including:

• Container volume imports
• Vessel services
• Congestion
• Gate operations
• New transportation-related projects
  

The report includes charts of monthly and quarterly changes in volume throughputs as well as indicators of period to period and year on year changes for monthly and quarterly periods.  Global Port Tracker is free for NRF retail members.
