Sears, JCPenney, Walmart, The Home Depot, Ralph Lauren Win Live Voting at Racie Awards -Ehrlich Pest Control Voted Best of the Best Among All Ads-
San Francisco, March 4, 2010 – Prominent retail companies took home a variety of prestigious honors at the Racie Awards last night in San Francisco. At the end of the evening, attendees chose Ehrlich Pest Control as the retailer with the “Best of the Best” campaign for its radio advertisement, “It’s Ok,” featuring a homeowner whose voice changes dramatically when reporting a “special guest” in the house.
In addition to choosing the “Best of the Best,” attendees at the Racie Awards Gala selected winners of six other “live vote” categories. The following companies were selected by the audience in their respective categories:

Sears Wins Peter Glen Award for Heroes at Home Program
Sears Holdings Corporation was honored with the Peter Glen Award this year, which is awarded to companies who give back to their community or environment in a unique way. Sears created the Heroes at Home in partnership with Rebuilding Together in response to an urgent need to assist military families facing hardship. Watch a video about Sears’ Heroes at Home program.
During the event, RAMA also inducted Robert Raible, Vice President of Brand Integration at Sears Holdings Corporation, into its Retail Advertising Hall of Fame. RAMA’s Hall of Fame has remained a cornerstone of the association for over 50 years and continues to set the standard for the brightest and most creative visionaries in the retail marketing and advertising industry.
In addition, RAMA awarded well-known retail ad executive and long-time RAMA Board member Marcia Tabler with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
The Retail Advertising & Marketing Association, a division of the National Retail Federation, is a trade association of over 1500 retail marketing and advertising executives, plus their supporting partners from the advertising agency, media and service-provider areas. RAMA co-produces NRF’s Retail Innovation and Marketing Conference, the largest single gathering of retail marketing and advertising professionals in the industry today.
