YUM! Brands Chief Information Officer Elected Chair of NRF CIO Council

Washington, January 14, 2010 – The National Retail Federation announced today that Delaney Bellinger, Chief Information Officer of YUM! Brands, will succeed Jeff Marshall, Chief Information Officer at Kohl’s Department Stores, as the Chair for its CIO Council. Bellinger was elected during a meeting at NRF’s 99th Annual Convention and EXPO and will serve a two-year term.

YUM! Brands is the world’s largest restaurant company in terms of system restaurants with more than 36,000 restaurants in over 110 countries and territories, and over 1 million associates. Four of their restaurant brands – KFC, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell and Long John Silver’s – are global leaders in the quick-service restaurant industry.

“We are thrilled to have Delaney serve as our new Council Chair,” said Dave Hogan, NRF Senior Vice President and CIO. “Her professional expertise and in-depth knowledge of the industry will be a great addition to the CIO Council going forward.”

NRF’s CIO Council is an invitation-only committee made up of retailing’s most prominent chief information officers. It meets three times a year to discuss issues of common interest, promising technologies and to take a proactive stance on creating new technology environments. It also provides a valuable opportunity for peers to share ideas and experiences and in doing so helps guide the National Retail Federation technical staff to create new projects that address the industry’s needs.

The National Retail Federation is the world's largest retail trade association, with membership that comprises all retail formats and channels of distribution including department, specialty, discount, catalog, Internet, independent stores, chain restaurants, drug stores and grocery stores as well as the industry's key trading partners of retail goods and services. NRF represents an industry with more than 1.6 million U.S. retail establishments, more than 24 million employees - about one in five American workers - and 2008 sales of $4.6 trillion. As the industry umbrella group, NRF also represents more than 100 state, national and international retail associations. www.nrf.com.
