Shop.org Launches Daily e-Newsletter for Online Retail Community

Washington, June 6, 2007– Shop.org, the online division of the National Retail Federation, announced today that it has launched a daily e-newsletter for the online retail community. In addition to summarizing news articles about the industry from prominent publications, Shop.org SmartBrief offers video, blog and international content to deliver the most comprehensive, current information available about the online retail industry. Nearly 5,000 people have subscribed to Shop.org SmartBrief since its launch on May 21.  

“Relevant information allows communities to grow and learn,” said Scott Silverman, Executive Director of Shop.org. “The newly-launched Shop.org SmartBrief provides critical information to the community of digital retail commerce industry professionals from best-of-breed sources carefully selected every day.” 

The Shop.org Brief is the second collaboration between NRF and SmartBrief. More than 50,000 people subscribe to NRF’s daily SmartBrief, which was launched in 2003. Shop.org SmartBrief is a free service provided by Shop.org to the online retail community.
