RAMA Welcomes Brand Evangelist Todd Alexander as Second Vice Chairman

Washington, April 24, 2007 -- The Retail Advertising and Marketing Association has announced that Todd N. Alexander, Brand Evangelist for Kreber in Columbus, Ohio, has been elected RAMA second vice chairman by its Board of Directors and Executive Committee. Alexander, who has served on the RAMA Board for more than five years, will assume the position at NRF's CMO Summit, May 2-4 in Phoenix.

The position is held by a non-retail member with a senior decision-making role in his or her own company who has demonstrated excellent mentoring skills and has built lasting relationships with members of the RAMA community. The voluntary position has a maximum two-year term.

“Todd has been an outspoken evangelist of RAMA and its members for many years,” said RAMA Executive Director Mike Gatti. “With his proven experience, enthusiasm and love of the industry, we could not be more pleased to welcome someone with his credentials to the position.”

Duties of the second vice chair include acting as a conduit for non-retailer RAMA members and representing their interests to the Board of Directors and Executive Committee. The Chair will also help shape RAMA programs and activities to ensure that they are meeting the needs of industry partners. In addition, the second vice chairman works with potential RAMA sponsors and partners to help them understand the value of involvement with the organization.

Todd Alexander has worked at Kreber, a fully integrated marketing, design and photography group, since 1978. During that time he worked in all areas of production before moving into new account development in 1989. Alexander has played a significant role in Kreber’s transformation from a photography studio and prepress company into a leading creative design and print marketing firm. His unique style and energy tagged him with the Brand Evangelist title in 2001.

The Retail Advertising & Marketing Association, a division of the National Retail Federation, is a trade association of over 1500 retail marketing and advertising executives, plus their supporting partners from the advertising agency, media and service-provider areas. RAMA sponsors the annual Retail Advertising Conference, the largest single gathering of retail marketing and advertising professionals in the industry today. RAMA also produces the RACie Awards Competition, the most prestigious creative contest in retail. www.rama-nrf.org
