RAMA Announces Finalists for Coveted RACie Award
Washington, DC, January 11, 2007 – From sports teams to department stores, the finalists up for this year’s RACie Awards have proven they have what it takes to create award-winning advertising and marketing campaigns. The RACie Award - Retail Award for Creativity, innovation and excellence - is the retail advertising and marketing industry’s most coveted honor. It is presented by the Retail Advertising and Marketing Association (RAMA) every year at its Retail Advertising Conference (RAC) in Chicago. The award honors the brightest and most creative visionaries in retail advertising and marketing.
This year’s RACie finalists were selected by a distinguished panel of top advertising executives in the retail industry. The winners will be selected via live audience voting during the Awards Dinner and Ceremony, February 8 at 7:00 p.m. at the Hilton Chicago. In addition, the Awards Ceremony will feature live audience voting for the “the Best of the Best” category and will honor the RAC Hall of Fame inductee, who will be announced at a later date.
“It’s not easy being on the cutting edge all year long, but these finalists have certainly proven their ability to be industry leaders,” stated RAMA Executive Director Mike Gatti. “Their work exhibits the true passion and love of what they do.”
RAC will also feature celebrity designer and model Daisy Fuentes as the host of the RACie Awards Dinner and Ceremony. Best Buy’s Group Creative Director Manny Palamo will join Daisy as co-host.

RAC 2007 will take place at the Hilton Chicago, February 7-9 and will also include a variety of informational sessions and expert guest speakers, creative workshops and peer networking events. The conference is the only annual gathering dedicated solely to the art of advertising and marketing in the retail field.
The Retail Advertising & Marketing Association (RAMA), a division of the National Retail Federation, is a trade association of over 1500 retail marketing and advertising executives, plus their supporting partners from the advertising agency, media and service-provider areas.
