Tony Fontana joined NRF in 2012 and was promoted to Manager of Online Communications in 2013. He is responsible for creating messaging and implementing communications strategy through NRF’s website, Retail’s BIG Blog, and NRF’s social media platforms. In addition, he manages editorial material for various communication vehicles including NRF SmartBrief, Shop.org SmartBrief and NRF’s Global SmartBrief.
Prior to joining NRF, Fontana served as the Marketing Manager for the Southeast Fairfax Development Corporation (SFDC), a non-profit organization focusing on marketing and economic development of the Route 1 corridor in southeast Fairfax County. Before SFDC, Fontana was an intern at Fleishman-Hillard International Communications in Washington, D.C., where he provided project management assistance for the Digital Communications department.
A graduate of James Madison University with a degree in corporate communication, Fontana was born and raised in Manassas, Virginia. He currently resides in Arlington, Virginia.
