Health Care Survey

Conducted by the National Retail Federation

Introduction

Our nation’s health care system is challenged by quality, cost and accessibility problems. Lawmakers at the federal and state level have and will continue to be engaged in meeting this challenge, but the retail industry must also help guide lawmakers in developing industry-specific reforms and responses to reform strategies. We believe that in addressing these problems, we must start from patient-physician relationship and work forward with a focus on achieving higher value for our collective health care dollar. Persistent questions regarding health care financing and access to health coverage cannot be answered until our health care delivery system functions better.

The National Retail Federation has established a special CEO Health Care Reform Taskforce to respond to the threat that rising health coverage costs poses to the retail industry. The NRF and the CEO Taskforce have developed this survey in order to best support efforts to reform our nation's health care system. The survey results will be compiled in a blind summary; no individual company’s responses will be cited. We will share the composite results with participating companies. If you have questions or need clarification, please contact Neil Trautwein at 202-626-8170 or trautweinn@nrf.com. The survey will take you an estimated 30 to 60 minutes to complete.

Please complete the survey no later than March 30, 2007.

We appreciate your support of this initiative.

Sincerely,
Neil Trautwein
Vice President
