TRENDSPOTTING: HOLIDAY FORECASTS AND CONSUMER SPENDING
Ahead of the holiday season, NRF released its annual holiday sales forecast projecting holiday retail sales to rise 4.1 percent from 2011, reaching $586 billion. As retailers continued to ramp up for another season of top-notch customer service and spreading some holiday cheer, NRF’s spokespeople hit the airwaves to discuss the latest trends and expectations for the most wonderful time of the year.
